A federal agent in Chattanooga has charged an illegal alien with a previous conviction for rape of a child with illegally reentering the country.
46-year-old Sebastian Perez-Gomez was located by ICE agent Dave Nalley on Wednesday. Nalley charged him with a felony count of reentry after deportation.
Perez-Gomez allegedly entered the U.S. illegally in Arizona in May 2000. He was returned to Mexico near El Paso, Texas, in 2007.
At some point, Perez-Gomez reentered the U.S. and was convicted in 2019 of the rape of a 13-year-old East Ridge girl. He was sentenced to 8 years in prison with the possibility of getting 15% of the sentence off for good behavior.
