July 1 Kicks Off Month Of Prayer & Fasting In Tennessee

With the Governor’s signing of House Joint Resolution 51 (HJR0051), July has officially been designated as a month of prayer and fasting for those “physically able and spiritually inclined” in the Volunteer State.

Sponsored by Rep. Monty Fritts (R-Kingsport-District 32) and Sen. Mark Pody (R-Lebanon-District 17) this past legislative session, the resolution seeks “Almighty God’s hand of ever-present mercy and healing on Tennessee” as lawmakers and citizens alike acknowledge their “sins and shortcomings, both individually and as a people, and humbly ask for His forgiveness”.
