Chattanooga Sees Record Monthly High For Shootings in November | Tennessee Conservative

According to recent reports, shootings in Chattanooga reached a record high for the month of November.

In total, the city had ten criminal shootings in November, the most out of any month this year.

Those shootings include a man firing shots at an apartment complex, multiple people being shot at a bar near McCallie Avenue, and an 18-year-old firing a gun at the Hamilton Place Mall and ultimately shooting himself in the foot during a fight in a Dick’s Sporting Goods Store and two other 18-year-old males exchanging gunfire in the drive through of a local Bojangles.

The Ashe Core Youth Empowerment Foundation, an organization that works to prepare local young people for the workforce and future leadership roles, is calling for more intervention and greater accountability for youth who are involved in criminal activity.
