Tennesseans React To Drag Queen Christmas Show Coming To Publicly Funded Knoxville Theater

The same Drag Queen Christmas Show that made a stop in Nashville at the end of November will be in East Tennessee on December 22nd at Knoxville’s historic Tennessee Theatre.

A Blount County resident shared the letter sent to Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs regarding the upcoming show:

I am not a resident of Knox County, although I am a frequent visitor from my home in Blount County. As a proud Tennessean, I feel I have a stake in “the official state theatre of Tennessee.” Accordingly, I am appalled that the degenerate show depicted in the attached article will appear at the Tennessee Theatre on December 22 as “all ages” Christmas “entertainment.” East Tennessee is the most conservative area of a conservative state. You are the most powerful county-wide elected official.

Surely you can do something to prevent this abomination from occurring. Some people contend it violates state law due to its proximity to a park. Some people contend that it constitutes obscenity in the presence of minors. Some people contend that it amounts to LGBTQ grooming. It is certainly disrespectful of the overwhelming majority of Christians in Knox County and East Tennessee.
